About The Position

Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive roles at its Inspection Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Available positions include Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate. Detailers wash vehicles, clean interiors, and buff exteriors. Lot Attendants move vehicles between departments in the Inspection Centers. Photobooth Associates photograph vehicles for customer listings, while Inspection Associates examine vehicle interiors and exteriors and identify imperfections or defects. The starting pay is $17 per hour. The listed first-shift schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.; locations may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. The workplace is Carvana’s high-tech Inspection Center at 11600 Fruehauf Dr, Charlotte, NC 28273. Entry-level employees receive training intended to help their skills and pay progress. The role involves working in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.

Responsibilities

For the Detailer role, wash vehicles, clean vehicle interiors, and buff vehicle exteriors.
For the Lot Attendant role, move vehicles from one department to another in the Inspection Center.
For the Photobooth Associate role, take photographs of vehicles for customer listings.
For the Inspection Associate role, inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections or defects.
Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
