About The Position

Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive roles at its Inspection Center in Chesterfield, Virginia. Available positions include Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate. Detailers wash, clean interiors, and buff vehicle exteriors. Lot Attendants move vehicles between departments in the Inspection Center. Photobooth Associates photograph vehicles for customer listings, and Inspection Associates inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors to identify imperfections and defects. The role uses tools in a high-tech Inspection Center and includes training programs intended to help entry-level employees develop their skills and progress in pay. Starting pay is $17.00–$18.00 per hour. Two shifts are available: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., or Monday–Thursday, 3:30 p.m.–2:30 a.m. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The Inspection Center is located at 15100 Wood Edge Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23834.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may require a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Pass a complete background check as a condition of hire.
Be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Detail vehicles by washing them, cleaning interiors, and buffing exteriors.
Move vehicles from one department to another within the Inspection Center.
Photograph vehicles for customer listings.
Inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections and defects.
