Entry-Level Automotive Detailer / Lot Attendant
About The Position
Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive roles at its high-tech Inspection Center in Sanford, Florida. Available roles include Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate. Detailers wash vehicles, clean interiors, and buff exteriors; Lot Attendants move vehicles between departments in Inspection Centers; Photobooth Associates take vehicle photos for customers; and Inspection Associates inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and identify imperfections or defects. Starting pay is $16 per hour. The first-shift schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., with mandatory overtime based on business needs. The Inspection Center is located at 2851 St Johns Pkwy, Sanford, FL 32771. Carvana provides training programs for entry-level employees to help their skills and pay progress. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may require a motor vehicle records check.
- Be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
- Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
- Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Pass a complete background check.
Responsibilities
- Detail vehicles by washing them, cleaning interiors, and buffing exteriors (Detailer role).
- Move vehicles from one department to another in Inspection Centers (Lot Attendant role).
- Take vehicle photos so customers can view vehicles online (Photobooth Associate role).
- Inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections or defects (Inspection Associate role).
- Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
