About The Position

Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive roles at its Inspection Center in Hutchins, Texas. Available work includes detailing vehicles through washing, interior cleaning, and exterior buffing; moving vehicles between departments; photographing vehicles; and inspecting vehicle interiors and exteriors to identify imperfections or defects. The posting lists a starting wage of $16 per hour and describes two shifts at this location: Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., or Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. The role may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. Employees work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may be exposed to heat or cold. The position involves operating vehicle equipment and tools, and using safety equipment such as face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective garments. Carvana provides entry-level training programs intended to support employees’ skill and pay progression. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to heat or cold.
Ability to use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments or equipment.
Must pass a complete background check.
Some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Responsibilities

Detail vehicles, including washing, interior cleaning, and exterior buffing.
Move vehicles from one department to another within the Inspection Center.
Photograph vehicles so customers can view them online.
Inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections or defects.
Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
