Entry-Level Automotive Detailer / Lot Attendant - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive roles at its Plainfield, Indiana Inspection Center. Available roles include Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate. Detailers wash vehicles, clean interiors, and buff exteriors. Lot Attendants move vehicles between departments in the Inspection Center. Photobooth Associates photograph vehicles, and Inspection Associates inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors to identify imperfections and defects. Entry-level employees receive training programs intended to help their skills and pay progress. The position uses tools in a high-tech Inspection Center and may involve mandatory overtime based on business needs. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
- Must use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
- Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
Responsibilities
- Detail vehicles, including washing, interior cleaning, and exterior buffing.
- Move vehicles from one department to another in the Inspection Center.
- For Photobooth Associate assignments, photograph vehicles for customer viewing.
- For Inspection Associate assignments, inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections or defects.
- Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
