About The Position

Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive roles at its Inspection Center in Plainfield, Indiana. Available positions include Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate. Detailers wash vehicles, clean interiors, and buff exteriors. Lot Attendants move vehicles between departments in the Inspection Center. Photobooth Associates photograph vehicles, and Inspection Associates check vehicle interiors and exteriors for imperfections or defects. The starting pay is $16 per hour. The location offers two schedules: first shift, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and second shift, Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Entry-level employees receive training programs intended to help their skills and pay progress. The work takes place in a high-tech Inspection Center using state-of-the-art tools. Carvana reconditions vehicles at centers around the country, where vehicles are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed on its website. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be at least 18, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, with possible exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Must use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Detail vehicles by washing them, cleaning interiors, and buffing exteriors.
Move vehicles between departments in the Inspection Center as a Lot Attendant.
Photograph vehicles as a Photobooth Associate.
Inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections or defects.
