About The Position

Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive roles at its San Antonio Inspection Center. Available roles include Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate. Detailers wash vehicles, clean interiors, and buff exteriors. Lot Attendants move vehicles between departments within the Inspection Center. Photobooth Associates photograph vehicles for customer listings, and Inspection Associates examine vehicle interiors and exteriors to identify imperfections and defects. The position offers a starting wage of $16 per hour. The location offers a first shift Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a second shift Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. The posting identifies the role as second shift. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Entry-level employees receive training programs intended to help their skills and pay progress. The Inspection Center is located at 11245 Old Corpus Christi Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78223. Employees use state-of-the-art tools in a high-tech Inspection Center. The role involves working in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to hot or cold weather conditions. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may require a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to hot or cold weather.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments or equipment.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Detail vehicles, including washing, interior cleaning, and exterior buffing.
Move vehicles from one department to another within the Inspection Center (Lot Attendant role).
Photograph vehicles for customer listings (Photobooth Associate role).
Inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections or defects (Inspection Associate role).
Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
