About The Position

The Automotive Detail Porter maintains a well-kept dealership lot and supports the Detail Center. The role focuses on producing high-quality, detailed work according to established standards, guidelines, and procedures. It requires driving, patience, and the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks. The position involves assisting with vehicle movement and retrieval, maintaining dealership and shop areas, replenishing supplies, and helping technicians, coworkers, and other departments as needed.

Requirements

Strong organizational and time management skills.
Outgoing and self-motivated personality.
Demonstrate a “can-do” attitude.
Ability to work Monday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and alternating Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Proficient driving abilities and at least 1–2 years of driving experience.
Physical ability to bend, lift, stoop, kneel, walk, and stand for prolonged periods; drive vehicles; and work in all types of weather.
Consent to a background check and drug screening.
Valid driver’s license with fewer than 4 points and no history of reckless driving.

Responsibilities

Organize, rearrange, and replenish inventory as needed.
Keep a complete stock of cleaning supplies accessible each day.
Keep the shop clean and presentable, including mopping, sweeping, emptying trash, and completing other requested tasks.
Put fuel in vehicles and assist with other duties as needed.
Assist technicians, coworkers, and other departments when necessary.
Run various errands.
Keep entryways presentable and clear of debris and snow.
Inspect vehicles as needed.
Deliver or pick up vehicles from other lots for detail work, website photos, or transportation.
Transport people to off-lot storage facilities to retrieve vehicles for the Detail Center.
