About The Position

McGrath Chevyland is seeking a reliable and motivated Automotive Detail Porter / Light Detailer to support its detail department. The role helps maintain efficient vehicle flow and supports daily detail operations through vehicle movement, staging, organization, and light vehicle detailing. The employee will learn detailing techniques and processes from experienced team members while supporting Detail Technicians and preparing vehicles for delivery and display. This is an entry-level role with opportunities to develop detailing skills and advance to a Full Detailer position or toward a Detail Advisor role. The position is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is full-time.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver vehicles throughout McGrath Chevyland and nearby dealership locations.
Assist with vehicle flow, staging, and organization within the detail department.
Perform light vehicle detailing, including washing, vacuuming, window cleaning, and preparing vehicles for delivery and display.
Learn proper automotive detailing techniques and processes from experienced team members.
Support Detail Technicians with vehicle preparation and department tasks.
Handle and move vehicles carefully and efficiently throughout the dealership.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
