About The Position

Stew Hansen Dodge City, a Ken Garff Automotive Dealership, is seeking an Automotive Deal Clerk (Accounting) who aligns with the company’s core values of respect, intelligence, greatness, honesty, and teamwork. The role is responsible for correcting, processing, and reconciling accounting documents, reviewing and coding financial information, processing documents to disburse funds and make deposits, preparing reports, checking information for accuracy, and maintaining records.

Requirements

• One year of previous related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products and general use of a computer and calculator.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of dealership software.
• Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Sort documents.
• Verify the accuracy of documents.
• Make necessary adjustments to documents such as logs or records.
• Communicate daily with sales and management teams about sales documents.
• Verify calculations related to vehicle sales and sales commissions.
• Verify sales data in the accounting system.
• Answer sales inquiries.
• Perform clerical duties, including typing, answering phones, and posting general ledger entries.
• Review, correct, and adjust assigned schedules.
• Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
• Input and reconcile vendor reserve payments and statements.
• Record deposits in the accounting system.
• Record new-car inventory processing daily from manufacturers and external vendors.
• Process appropriate payable checks and reconcile related receivables weekly.
• Reconcile assigned inventory accounts monthly.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
