About The Position

Dewey Ford, a Ken Garff Automotive Dealership, is seeking an Automotive Deal Clerk (Accounting). The role is responsible for correcting, processing, and reconciling accounting documents; reviewing and coding financial information; preparing documents to disburse funds and make deposits; preparing reports; checking information for accuracy; and maintaining records. The clerk works with sales and management teams on sales documents and performs a range of accounting and clerical duties.

Requirements

• At least one year of previous related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and general use of a computer and calculator.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Knowledge of dealership software and Excel spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Sort documents and verify their accuracy.
• Make necessary adjustments to documents, logs, and records.
• Communicate daily with sales and management teams about sales documents.
• Verify mathematics related to vehicle sales and sales commissions.
• Verify sales data in the accounting system and answer sales inquiries.
• Perform clerical duties such as typing, answering phones, and posting general ledger entries.
• Review, correct, and adjust assigned schedules.
• Enter vendor invoices in the accounting system.
• Input and reconcile vendor reserve payments and statements.
• Record deposits in the accounting system.
• Record new-car inventory processing from manufacturers and external vendors daily.
• Process appropriate payable checks and reconcile related receivables weekly.
• Reconcile assigned inventory accounts monthly.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
