About The Position

Moberly Motor Company is a family-owned dealership that has proudly served our community for over 80 years. We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team.

This role is responsible for managing dealership payables and receivables processes with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with numbers, and thrives in a structured, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

• Prior AP/AR or accounting experience preferred (automotive experience a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficient with computers and accounting systems (DMS experience preferred)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Process and post vendor invoices
• Match invoices to purchase orders and repair orders
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and process check runs
• Post customer payments and deposits
• Reconcile schedules and customer accounts
• Follow up on outstanding receivables
• Assist with manufacturer receivables and warranty postings
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with month-end closing tasks
• Support office and accounting team as needed
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies and procedures
