About The Position

The Automatic Machine Operator II position at Quality Steel Corporation is responsible for ensuring safety and meeting quality expectations while operating machinery. This role involves inspecting equipment, operating machinery to manufacturer specifications, controlling machine settings, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a clean workstation. The operator will also be responsible for reporting defects and following established procedures.

Requirements

• Skilled in working with computer-operated and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to safely lift/move up to 60 lbs.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools.
• Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members to accomplish departmental goals and to improve operations.
• High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Weld experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety First, Safety Always, and meet or exceed Quality expectations.
• Inspect equipment to be utilized prior to shift start.
• Operate machinery to manufacturer’s specifications, meeting time budgets for finished product.
• Control and adjust machine settings as required.
• Perform Quality Control.
• Visually inspect product for defects prior to conveyance.
• Report defects to Supervisor.
• Follow reporting and record-keeping procedures, and report issues to Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation and machine(s) utilized.
