About The Position

This internship position is for a Draftsperson Intern with Dakota Fence, focusing on creating shop drawings for fabrication and developing installation and as-built drawings. The intern will submit drawings to engineers/owners for approval and provide installation plans for field crews. The internship is scheduled from July 2026 to October 2026, with full-time summer hours and part-time fall hours.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in school for drafting.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Inventor.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Fusion is a plus.
• Familiarity with fabrication, including custom gates, railings, steel, aluminum, and hardware, is a plus.
• Hands-on welding and fabrication experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings for fabrication and submit them to engineers/owners for approval.
• Develop installation and as-built drawings for both fabricated and purchased items.
• Provide submittals for engineers/contractors and installation plans for field crews.
