About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals of Canada is seeking an AutoCAD Technician to design and lay out systems and frame scaffolding solutions for construction projects. This role supports commercial and industrial applications, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective scaffold designs. Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and strong spatial awareness
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Above-average math skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Previous scaffold experience or construction background required
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed scaffold design layouts for construction projects.
- Design exterior scaffolding around building perimeters.
- Design interior elevated work platforms (“dance floors”).
- Design industrial scaffolding applications, including tanks and complex structures (both internal and external).
- Collaborate closely with project teams and clients, including commercial and industrial contractors, to deliver practical and compliant solutions.
