About The Position

We are seeking an AutoCAD Technician to join our team. This role involves producing and revising shop drawings for various stakeholders, including DOTs, structural engineers, architects, and construction managers. You will also be responsible for preparing conceptual drawings, as-built drawings, and preliminary CAD layouts to support the estimating team. Additionally, you will contribute to updating company standards and templates, creating visual aids for clients, and communicating with project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Associate’s or technical degree with AutoCAD as a major component.
• 3-5 years of experience using AutoCAD on a daily basis.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Civil3D or BIM software.
• Prior experience with civil, geotechnical construction and techniques (i.e., drawings, specifications, building materials, surveying, design, or geotechnical work).

Responsibilities

• Engage with the design team to produce shop drawings for review by DOTs, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, architects, or construction managers.
• Revise and resubmit drawings based on responses to comments from the project review team.
• Print (plot) drawings for review, approval, and final stamping.
• Prepare conceptual elevation views, support schemes, and geotechnical cross-sections using data from geotechnical borings.
• Prepare as-built drawings and manage final project closeout of drawing work.
• Perform preliminary CAD layouts to assist the estimating team with takeoffs, quantities, and preliminary drawing setup.
• Update and improve company standards and templates as required.
• Prepare visual aids illustrating ground improvement systems for potential clients to enhance proposals and quotes.
• Communicate with clients, engineers, and architects as required.
