About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join our team. The Draftsperson will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and 3D models for metal fabrication projects.

Requirements

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience as a Draftsperson in metal fabrication or manufacturing.
Proficiency with CAD software, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar tools.
Experience with metalworking processes, including cutting, bending, welding, and machining.
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience with sheet metal design and structural aluminum fabrication.
Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems used in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
Create fabrication drawings, assembly layouts, and part details for metal components.
Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, tolerances, and safety requirements.
Review customer drawings and build a BOM for RFQs based on customer requests.
Create submittal packages and stamped drawings.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to translate design concepts into manufacturable drawings.
Provide clear instructions for fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
Revise drawings based on feedback from shop floor and quality control teams.
Verify dimensions, materials, and specifications to ensure accuracy.
Maintain documentation and drawing records for future reference.
Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, and other relevant standards.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and production supervisors.
Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
