About The Position

Cox Automotive’s Manheim is seeking an entry-level Auto Technician – General Service to perform light-duty vehicle maintenance and repairs. The technician will learn automotive technician skills and maintenance practices with guidance, working on standard, automatic, and electric vehicles at a specified Cox location. The role is non-remote and works a day shift. The position pays $15.10–$22.69 per hour. The base rate may vary based on location and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. The role may also be eligible for commission or other incentives. A sign-on bonus is available for new hires only. Employment is contingent on clearing a pre-employment drug test. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of related work experience.
Ability to drive standard, automatic, and electric vehicles.
Valid driver’s license.
Must clear a pre-employment drug test.
Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship; visa sponsorship, OPT, CPT, and STEM/OPT are not available.

Responsibilities

Perform light-duty automotive maintenance as an entry-level technician.
Develop familiarity with automotive maintenance concepts and practices.
Perform oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, transmission flushes, and vehicle inspections.
Test, maintain, and replace batteries.
Perform repairs involving tires, safety inspections, and interior or exterior components.
Comply with regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires, and disposable trash.
Use approved vendors to obtain required parts.
