About The Position

The Auto Service Advisor works with customers to determine their vehicle needs and requested services, verify warranty coverage, develop estimates, create repair orders, and maintain an excellent customer service experience. The role also involves promoting automotive products and services, scheduling appointments, and ensuring completed services meet customer needs and quality standards. The position may occasionally perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as changing oil, checking fluids, and installing batteries. It also supports events and promotions and promotes Fleet Farm’s customer loyalty program, credit card, and other company initiatives.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
Previous experience in a customer-focused role.
Demonstrated ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.

Responsibilities

Answer phones promptly and courteously and make overhead public-address announcements about service specials and offers.
Schedule service appointments for customers.
Establish working knowledge of Fleet Farm’s line of tires, parts, and accessories.
Promote and sell automotive products and services that meet customer needs.
Develop service estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor and calculating customer payments.
Occasionally perform basic maintenance duties, such as changing oil, checking fluids, and installing batteries.
Assist customers with questions and handle customer issues.
Provide superior customer service.
Assist with preparations for events and promotions.
Promote Fleet Farm’s customer loyalty program, credit card, and other company initiatives.
Ensure services are completed with a high degree of quality and meet customer needs.
