About The Position

The Auto Parts Counter Professional is responsible for inside sales activity within a Parts Authority store and reports directly to the Store Manager. The role centers on building and maintaining productive, long-lasting customer relationships, providing professional service and support, and closing sales to achieve goals and drive growth. The position serves customers across sectors including installers, fleets, municipalities, and car dealerships, and includes locating hard-to-find parts, working with vendors, providing accurate quotes, and following up on orders.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of counter sales experience in a competitive market.
• Exceptional phone skills with a positive, enthusiastic, and attentive tone.
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for exceptional customer service and exceeding sales goals.
• Ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships.
• Focus on results, sales production, closing, and growth.
• Experience with POS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently to accomplish objectives.
• Outgoing, assertive, proactive, positive, and tenacious approach with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain productive, long-lasting relationships with existing customers.
