Entry-Level Auto Painter
About The Position
Carvana is hiring an entry-level Auto Painter with at least one year of professional automotive painting experience. The role involves preparing vehicles for painting and completing paint-related work in one of Carvana’s high-tech Inspection Centers. Training programs are available to help entry-level employees advance their skills and pay. The advertised pay range is $23–$27 per hour. The position is in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Employees must use appropriate safety equipment. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- At least one year of professional automotive painting experience.
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and independently lift up to 60 pounds.
- At least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
- Ability to use required safety equipment and protective garments.
Responsibilities
- Prime vehicles and perform final sanding before they are painted.
- Buff vehicles.
- Perform paint touch-ups.
- Mix paint.
- Perform airbrush work.
