About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Entry-Level Auto Painter to work in a high-tech Inspection Center, preparing vehicles for painting and helping ensure vehicles are ready for customers. The role includes priming vehicles and performing final sanding before painting, as well as buffing, touch-up work, paint mixing, and airbrush work. Carvana offers training programs for employees in entry-level roles so their skills and pay can progress with the company.

The position requires at least one year of professional automotive painting experience. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional automotive painting experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age and possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Prime vehicles and perform final sanding before painting.
• Perform buffing and touch-up work.
• Mix paint and perform airbrush work.
• Work mandatory overtime when needed to meet business needs.
