About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced Auto Painter with at least five years of professional automotive painting experience. The role involves painting vehicles with base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint correcting vehicles. Painters work in one of Carvana’s high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers, where vehicles are inspected and prepared before being listed for sale. The position offers competitive wages and a $6,000 bonus, along with training and advancement opportunities for entry-level hires in other roles. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may be required to work mandatory overtime based on business needs. Employment is contingent on passing a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Must use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
