About The Position
National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking an experienced Auto Field Adjuster to join their field estimating team. This role supports Robeson, Columbus, and Bladen Counties in North Carolina. The position is territory-based, requiring candidates to reside within 30 miles of these counties. The Auto Field Adjuster will leverage expertise in auto damage assessment to inspect vehicles, evaluate losses, and prepare accurate estimates for first- and third-party material damage claims. The role also involves supporting team success through teamwork, flexibility, training, mentoring, quality control, and providing technical guidance. An active adjuster's license is preferred, with a willingness to obtain one shortly after hire if not currently held.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CCC ONE estimating software
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong time management skills
- Customer-focused approach
- Reside within 30 miles of Robeson, Columbus, and Bladen Counties in North Carolina
- Authorization to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Active adjuster's license
- Experience in auto damage assessment
- Experience in first- and third-party material damage claims
- Experience in auto or specialty lines
- Willingness to obtain licensure shortly after hire
Responsibilities
- Applies thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
- Builds established relationships with both internal and external customers
- Exhibits proficient estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses
- Processes a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
- Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within escalated authority limits
