About The Position

Giles Nissan is hiring an entry-level Auto Express Technician to join its service team in Lafayette, Louisiana. This role is intended for hands-on learners seeking practical automotive experience and opportunities to develop into a full-line certified technician. The position emphasizes supportive teamwork, customer service, and adherence to dealership and factory standards. Weekends off are offered. No prior automotive experience is required. Automotive, detailing, or customer service experience is a plus. The employer describes opportunities for promotions and advancement as often achievable within the first six months.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be hardworking, eager to learn, and committed to doing the job correctly.
Be comfortable using tools and performing physical tasks.
Be team-oriented, positive, and professional.
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Have basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, brake pad replacements, and vehicle inspections.
Follow dealership and factory standards on all repair orders.
Communicate effectively with the parts department and service advisors.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and properly care for tools.
Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools as needed.
Provide excellent service and attention to detail on every vehicle.
