Auto Claims Adjuster Trainee
About The Position
First Chicago Insurance Company is hiring a full-time Auto Claims Adjuster Trainee for recent and upcoming college graduates. The role provides training and support in claims resolution, with a customer-centric approach. The position is onsite and includes in-office, hands-on training and opportunities to shadow experienced professionals while gradually taking on more responsibilities. The trainee handles incoming auto claims by investigating details, corresponding with customers, and evaluating damages. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday. Estimated compensation is $20–$30 per hour; the offered amount depends on experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location.
Requirements
- Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including verbal, written, and phone communication.
- Previous customer service experience.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with software tools used for claims processing and managing and analyzing claims data.
Responsibilities
- Participate in training sessions to develop understanding of the claims process.
- Handle incoming claims by investigating details.
- Correspond with customers about claims.
- Evaluate damages.
