About The Position
The Auto Body Technician Helper assists a lead body technician with collision repair work, including vehicle teardown, damage evaluation, parts installation, parts organization, and light body work. The position is paid on a commission/flag-rate structure. Flag pay is guaranteed to meet local minimum wage requirements for all hours worked each week. The posted compensation range represents the average flag pay range for a typical full-time employee in this position.
Requirements
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods and regularly position or move oneself to repair vehicles over and under them.
- Ability to communicate effectively and take direction from superiors.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead body technician with 100% teardown.
- Remove damaged components and assist in evaluating damage.
- Assist with installation of new parts.
- Organize parts for repair orders.
- Assist with light body work.
