About The Position
Crash Champions is hiring an Auto Body Technician Helper to assist lead body technicians with collision repair work. The role involves supporting vehicle teardown, damage evaluation, parts installation, parts organization, and light body work. This position is paid on a commission/flag-rate structure, with flag pay guaranteed to meet local minimum-wage requirements for all hours worked each week. The posted compensation range represents the average flag pay range for a typical full-time employee in this position: $40,000 to $95,400 per year.
Requirements
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours a week.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods and regularly position or move oneself to repair vehicles over and under them.
- Ability to communicate effectively and take direction from superiors.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead body technician with 100% teardown.
- Remove damaged components and assist in evaluating damage.
- Assist with installation of new parts.
- Organize parts for repair orders.
- Assist with light body work.
