Auto Body Technician Helper
About The Position
Crash Champions is hiring an Auto Body Technician Helper to assist lead body technicians with collision repair work. The role includes helping with vehicle tear-down, removing damaged components and evaluating damage, installing new parts, organizing parts for repair orders, and performing light body work. This position is paid on a commission/flag-rate structure. Flag pay is guaranteed to meet local minimum wage requirements for all hours worked each week. The posted compensation range represents average flag pay for a typical full-time employee and is $40,000–$99,900 per year.
Requirements
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours a week.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods and regularly position or move oneself to repair vehicles over and under them.
- Ability to communicate effectively and take direction from superiors.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead body technician with 100% tear-down.
- Remove damaged components and assist in evaluating damage.
- Assist with installation of new parts.
