Auto Body Tech - Town and Country Toyota
About The Position
The Auto Body Tech performs work specified on repair orders accurately and efficiently, diagnoses malfunctions and completes needed repairs, and examines vehicles for additional safety or service needs. The role coordinates with the Parts Department to obtain parts and advises the Body Shop Manager when additional work is needed. The technician documents completed work, keeps customer vehicles clean, and follows company safety procedures and applicable regulations, including hazardous-waste disposal rules. The position also requires attendance at factory-sponsored training and keeping current with factory technical bulletins. Compensation is $26.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of automotive experience.
- Authorization to work in the USA.
- Ability to perform duties and responsibilities safely.
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, and credit report, and to provide a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities
- Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately.
- Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform needed repairs.
- Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
- Examine vehicles to determine whether additional safety or service work is required.
- Advise the Body Shop Manager if additional work is needed.
- Document all work performed as soon as the job is completed.
- Use basic mathematical skills to solve simple equations for mixing chemicals.
- Attend factory-sponsored training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous-waste disposal requirements.
- Ensure customer cars are kept clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and immediately report accidents to a manager or supervisor.
