About The Position

The Auto Body Repair Person performs repair work according to repair orders, diagnosing malfunctions and completing necessary repairs. The role includes coordinating with the Parts Department, inspecting vehicles for additional safety or service needs, documenting completed work, and keeping customer vehicles clean. The employee must follow company safety procedures and applicable regulations, including rules for hazardous-waste disposal, and attend factory-sponsored training to stay current with technical bulletins. The position pays $26.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of automotive experience.
Authorization to work in the USA.
Perform duties and responsibilities safely.
Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, and credit report; a valid driver license is required.

Nice To Haves

ASE certification preferred.
I-Car aluminum welding certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform needed repairs.
Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
Examine vehicles to determine whether additional safety or service work is required.
Advise the Body Shop Manager if additional work is needed.
Document all work performed as soon as the job is completed.
Use basic mathematics to solve simple equations for mixing chemicals.
Attend factory-sponsored training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
Follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous-waste disposal requirements.
Ensure customer cars are kept clean.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow company safety policies and procedures and immediately report accidents to a manager or supervisor.
