About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Prepper to prepare vehicles for paint at its high-tech Inspection Center in Belton, Missouri. The work includes sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging and teardown, and buffing. The role is described as entry-level and requires at least six months of professional automotive prepping experience. Training programs are available to help entry-level employees develop their skills and progress in pay. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Overtime opportunities are available, and mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The work takes place in a fast-paced production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least six months of professional automotive prepping experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging and performing teardown.
Buff vehicles.
Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
