About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Prepper to perform light bodywork on vehicles at its high-tech inspection and reconditioning centers. The role includes preparing, sanding, and buffing vehicles; removing and installing bumpers; performing minor plastic welding; and completing small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. The posting describes the role as an entry-level prepper position requiring at least one year of professional automotive bodywork experience. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees so their skills and pay can progress with the company. The position is based at 15511 E 155th St, Belton, MO 64012. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime opportunities. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Employees work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may be exposed to excessive heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Must pass a complete background check.
