About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Prepper to prepare vehicles for paint at its high-tech Inspection Center in Belton, Missouri. The role involves sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging and tear-down, and buffing. Entry-level training programs are available to help employees develop their skills and progress in pay. The position requires at least six months of professional automotive prepping experience. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., with overtime opportunities. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to hot or cold weather. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least six months of professional automotive prepping experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver's license; some positions may require a motor vehicle records check.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Must pass a background check.
Must be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
