About The Position

Carvana is seeking an experienced auto body technician to perform extensive bodywork on multiple panels at one of its high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers. The role includes heavy plastic welding and stapling; heavy metal pulling, straightening, shrinking, and stud welding; roof and rocker panel repair; and large-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. The technician is also expected to train other autobody technicians. The position is part of Carvana’s vehicle reconditioning operation, where vehicles are inspected and repaired before being photographed and listed for customers. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Must pass a complete background check.
