Auto Body Combo Technician - $8,000 Bonus

About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced automotive bodywork technician to perform extensive repairs on multiple vehicle panels at a high-tech vehicle Inspection Center. The role includes heavy plastic welding and stapling; heavy metal pulling, straightening, shrinking, and stud welding; roof and rocker panel repair; and large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. Experienced technicians are expected to train other autobody technicians. Carvana also offers training programs for entry-level employees so their skills and pay can progress with the company. The position offers an hourly pay range of $33–$41 and a stated $8,000 bonus. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to excessive heat or cold. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and pass a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience for the experienced technician role.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use safety equipment that may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Passing a complete background check.
