About The Position

Carvana is seeking an experienced autobody technician with at least five years of professional automotive bodywork experience. The role involves extensive repairs across multiple vehicle panels and training other autobody technicians. Work takes place in a high-tech vehicle Inspection Center using state-of-the-art tools. Carvana describes itself as a fast-growing used automotive retailer with vehicle Reconditioning Centers where cars are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed for sale.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age and possession of a valid driver's license; some positions may require an MVR check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to heat or cold.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Train other autobody technicians.
• Perform extensive bodywork on multiple panels, including heavy plastic welding and stapling; heavy metal pulling, straightening, shrinking, and stud welding; roof and rocker panel repair; and large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair.
• Work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and, when business needs require, work mandatory overtime.
• Use safety equipment and tools to perform the work.
