About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Auditing in a digital environment (ADM4346A) during the Fall 2026 academic period at the Telfer School of Management. The course focuses on information technology and its impact on auditors, covering IT risks, Audit Data Analytics, automated data capture, real-time reporting, distributed databases, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, systems reliability, privacy, confidentiality, security, integrity, availability, control frameworks, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, machine learning, systems life cycles, and information assets/intellectual property. The course is scheduled for Tuesdays from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM and is delivered in person. The University of Ottawa is committed to diversity, inclusion, and creating a barrier-free work environment.

Requirements

  • MBA or Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in accounting/auditing.
  • Recent professional experience in accounting information systems auditing.
  • Teaching experience, preferably in AIS auditing.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA).
  • Specialist designation in internal/IT auditing (CIA, CA-IT, CISA, CRISC, etc.).
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as equivalent to the required educational and/or demonstrated experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in accounting/auditing.
  • Teaching experience in the area of AIS auditing.
