About The Position

Greenberg Traurig is hiring an Attorney Talent Acquisition Coordinator for its Attorney Recruiting Team in the Chicago office. This hybrid role supports the Attorney Talent Acquisition team’s recruiting and hiring of summer associates, lateral attorneys, and alternative track career attorneys. Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, team meetings, training, and relationship building. The position reports to the Attorney Talent Acquisition Manager and may require overtime, especially during peak student recruiting periods. The coordinator works with the Attorney Talent Acquisition Manager, office Managing Shareholders, and Practice Group Leaders to coordinate recruitment activities and provide support for recruiting initiatives. The role requires strong client service, communication, organization, attention to detail, adaptability, discretion, and comfort working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Minimum 3 to 5 years of recruiting experience.
Outstanding client service and commitment to meeting high-quality standards and client expectations.
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective time management.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization and collaborate as part of a team.
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, presentation, and professional demeanor.
Ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information.
Critical thinking skills and ability to shift priorities and manage change positively.
Computer proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
Understanding of AI capabilities and limitations and responsible use in a professional environment.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed, especially during peak student recruiting periods.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or a related field.
Experience with Workday or another applicant tracking system.
Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, firm-approved AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

Assist the Attorney Talent Acquisition Manager, office Managing Shareholders, and Practice Group Leaders with recruiting summer associates, lateral shareholders, lateral associates, and alternative track attorneys.
Support on-campus recruiting by preparing materials, scheduling callback interviews, following up with attorneys, and coordinating candidate communications.
Oversee day-to-day functions of the Summer Associate Program, including coordinating training, sourcing work assignments, compiling evaluations, and planning social events.
Coordinate in-person and virtual interview schedules and gather feedback on prospective candidates.
Assist with drafting and updating job postings, reviewing and processing resumes in the applicant tracking system, and generating reports.
Manage and update applicant databases and prepare offer letters.
Communicate with candidates and legal search firms, send candidate correspondence, and submit background-check requests.
Assist the manager with networking and partnering with career services to reach law students.
Assist with other department activities and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
