About The Position

The Attended Donation Center Attendant greets donors, helps unload donations safely, tracks and sorts donated items, and maintains an orderly work area. The role is performed independently, primarily in a standard retail backroom or warehouse environment, with frequent donor contact. The position requires regular and timely attendance and availability for a flexible schedule that may include holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

• Excellent time-management and prioritization skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience with computers or a willingness and ability to learn.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, up to 8 hours.
• Ability to independently twist, lift, carry, push, or pull weights of 10 to 25 pounds; objects over 25 pounds require a team lift.
• Ability to reach approximately 54 inches and frequently stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch.
• Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks.
• Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Nice To Haves

• Basic math skills.
• Experience operating power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist donors promptly and courteously.
• Safely unload donations from vehicles, using team lifts as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily donation counts.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Sort donations into the correct categories.
• Replace and label full gaylords, help build and break them down, and prepare them for transport.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
