About The Position

Facilitates site-specific activities and rentals with some independence while maintaining facility supervision and security and promoting an environment consistent with Bend Park & Recreation District program philosophies and goals. The role involves limited independent decision-making, with a Manager or Coordinator available for on-call support. Facility Leads may work shifts with few or no other staff, limited activities, and limited facility operations responsibilities. The position is scheduled for some weekdays, Saturdays and/or Sundays from November 6, 2026 through March 1, 2027. Depending on the facility, work may be indoors or outdoors, including in extreme weather. The schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role involves frequent contact with staff and the public, possible exposure to illness, moderate noise and interruptions, and occasional computer use. Supervision is not normally a responsibility, though the role provides leadership and direction to program staff and volunteers. Employment is contingent on verification of credentials and other required information, including a background check and, when driving is required, a driving history review. This is a non-benefited position.
