Seasonal Retail At Your Service Associate, Imperial Valley
About The Position
As an At Your Service Center Colleague, you deliver a seamless, personalized shopping experience by supporting Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPS), merchandise returns, order pickups, and other assigned tasks while upholding Macy’s service standards. The role requires multitasking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset in a fast-paced environment. Schedules may include nights, weekends, and holidays, and hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. You welcome customers with genuine hospitality, assist with total store fulfillment, use the systems needed to complete transactions, and keep the collection area organized for friction-free pickups. You help maintain a clean, shoppable space, recover merchandise, and ensure BOPS orders are completed and delivered curbside on time. You also share loyalty program benefits, help achieve sales goals, and collaborate with colleagues to improve customer and store results.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Ability to make prompt, sound decisions to address customer needs and resolve issues.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Resourcefulness and adaptability when priorities change; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfort handling electronic devices.
- Ability to talk, lift, move, stand, and reach with arms and hands; stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Support At Your Service activities, including Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPS), merchandise returns, order pickups, and other assigned tasks.
- Assist customers with total store fulfillment and complete transactions using the required systems.
- Keep the customer pickup collection area organized and the pickup and return areas clean.
- Recover merchandise and help maintain a clean, organized, shoppable space.
- Ensure timely completion and curbside delivery of BOPS orders.
- Welcome and engage customers with genuine hospitality and personal conversations.
- Share loyalty program benefits and help acquire new customers by opening credit accounts.
- Work toward daily sales goals and support individual and store results.
- Collaborate with teammates and contribute to a positive customer and colleague experience.
