About The Position
Visiting Angels of Boerne is hiring At Home Caregivers to serve clients throughout the Hill Country area, including Lake Hills, Pipe Creek, Rio Medina, and Castroville. Caregivers help enrich clients’ quality of life and support their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. The role offers flexible schedules, competitive wages, and growth opportunities. Advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care is available to caregivers seeking to broaden their skills. Care may include personal care and hygiene, light exercise and walks, meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, medication reminders, mobility assistance, and accompanying clients on shopping trips, appointments, and errands. Caregivers also report health changes or unusual incidents and respond responsibly to emergencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple duties at once.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and from client homes at scheduled care times.
- Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting a client.
- Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints.
- Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including a background check.
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

- Interest in broadening caregiving skills through advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care.
Responsibilities
