About The Position

Visiting Angels of Richardson is hiring At Home Caregivers to serve clients throughout North Texas, including Addison, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, The Colony, Rockwall, Mesquite, Forney, and surrounding areas. Caregivers support clients’ wellness and quality of life in accordance with individualized care plans. The role offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and opportunities for growth. Advanced training in areas such as dementia and Alzheimer’s care is available for caregivers who want to broaden their skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
• At least 2 years of professional caregiving experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Training in First Aid and emergency response; training is provided if needed.
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to handle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled times.
• Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and supporting clients.
• Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while following applicable dietary constraints.
• Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including a background check.
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in advanced training in dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
• Transport clients using a reliable personal vehicle.
