Full-Time Associate Veterinarian - Toledo, OH
About The Position
IndeVets is reimagining the associate veterinarian role by offering sustainable career paths, putting veterinarians in control of their schedules, and guaranteeing income. This model provides hands-on support and a community of peers, allowing veterinarians to practice medicine without sacrificing their well-being. As a full-time W-2 veterinarian working 4-5 days per week, you will build a schedule you control with the help of a dedicated scheduling coordinator. IndeVets handles scheduling, logistics, and coordination, allowing you to focus on practicing medicine. You will have a guaranteed salary with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts, which can be paid out or converted into additional PTO. You will practice across a network of trusted hospital partners, gaining diverse clinical experience and building relationships with teams. The role offers clinical autonomy with a focus on patient care, not numbers, and provides dedicated medical leadership, mentorship, and a collaborative community. Access to a veterinary social worker, ongoing CE, and professional development opportunities are also included. The model is designed to prevent burnout and offers leadership and mentorship opportunities, exposure to diverse clinical settings, and flexibility to evolve your schedule over time.
Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
- Active license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
- 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
- Confidence practicing independently
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
