About The Position

A Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by excelling in customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. The position’s primary priorities are customer service, sales, and teamwork. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships. They assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing; follow visual standards; help prevent theft; and keep the sales floor neat and organized. The role also requires a positive, energetic attitude, compliance with company policies, and participation in service training and product programs. The job requires standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds. Associates must be able to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, maintaining DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression, while maintaining an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
