Associate Veterinarian Emergency & Critical Care Clinicians
About The Position
BluePearl Vet, LLC is seeking multiple Associate Veterinarian Emergency & Critical Care Clinicians for their Levittown, PA location. This role involves providing emergency healthcare treatment to animals, including administering medication, vaccinations, performing surgeries, and general health care. The clinician will diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, operate medical equipment, educate animal owners, write prescriptions, and conduct research on animal diseases and human protection from animal diseases. The position also requires serving as a hospital leader to foster a positive work environment and participating in medical meetings and professional forums. Travel for continuing education is optional, and covering shifts at other BluePearl hospitals within the same MSA may be required.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (foreign equivalent accepted)
- Completion of residency program in emergency medicine within six months of hire
- Eligible for board certification with the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) within six months of hire
- Pennsylvania veterinary license
- Must pass background and reference check

Responsibilities
- Provide emergency healthcare treatment to animals.
- Administer medication and vaccinations.
- Perform surgeries and provide general health care for companion animals.
- Diagnose and treat animals with illnesses and injuries, including dressing wounds.
- Operate medical equipment used in animal treatment, such as CT-scan and urinalysis.
- Educate animal owners on animal behavior.
- Write prescriptions for sick animals.
- Carry out research on animal diseases, such as prevention and treatment.
- Research how to protect humans from infection by animal diseases.
- Complete appropriate documentation and request referrals from other specialists as needed.
- Serve as a hospital leader in setting a pleasant, engaging, and professional work environment.
- Participate in hospital medical meetings and professional forums.
- May be asked to cover shifts for other Veterinarians at BluePearl hospitals located within same MSA.
