About The Position

Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital of Wilson is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its established team of thirteen full-time ER veterinarians. The modern, purpose-built hospital is a Level III VECCS-certified facility that provides emergency and critical care in Eastern North Carolina. The veterinarian will practice alongside an experienced, collaborative team of emergency veterinarians, boarded specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Radiology, and dedicated support staff. The position offers opportunities for case consultation, continuity of patient care, mentoring veterinary students and ER interns, and continued development of emergency medicine skills. Responsibilities

Provide emergency and critical care to patients.
Collaborate with emergency veterinarians and boarded specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Radiology.
Consult on cases and support continuity of patient care.
Mentor veterinary students and ER interns, as appropriate.
Contribute knowledge and develop clinical skills within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
