About The Position
The facility-based Associate Clinician maintains constant face-to-face contact with persons served, primarily in a group home or residential treatment center. The role aims to increase each person’s capacity for independent community living by establishing support and rapport, modeling skills, teaching, and providing activities and learning experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, nursing, vocational/psychiatric rehabilitation, education, or another mental health field; or registered nurse with direct mental health experience.
- For the registered nurse pathway, direct care, at-risk, or comparable experience is also required.
Responsibilities
- Establish support and rapport with persons served.
- Model and teach skills that promote independent community living.
- Provide activities and learning experiences for persons served.
- Maintain face-to-face contact with persons served in a group home or residential treatment center setting.
