About The Position
Acrisure is seeking an Associate Underwriter to assist licensed Benefits Advisors with preparing plan analyses to pursue new clients and retain existing clients. The role supports benefits consulting through learning healthcare terminology and underwriting processes, organizing data and utilization reporting, preparing budget projections, and helping Account Consultants develop executive-level summaries. The position is on-site to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership. Responsibilities may be modified or added as knowledge and proficiency develop.
Requirements
- A college degree or at least 5 years of experience in employee benefits insurance.
- Must possess a New Jersey Life & Health license or be willing to obtain one.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and AI.
- Proficient analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, responsiveness, and self-motivation.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
- Exceptional math skills.
- Team-oriented and task-oriented, with a pleasant and positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Learn healthcare terminology and the underwriting process.
- Spreadsheet data for analysis.
- Analyze utilization reporting.
- Prepare spreadsheet budget projections for consultant review and input.
- Assist Account Consultants in creating executive-level summaries.
